"In the garden of my heart, I plant naught but the rose of love." - Baha’u’llah
My husband Kevin and I enjoy sharing our home and beautiful garden as a gathering place for connection with the community, deepening bonds of friendships, and fostering a feeling of tranquillity and joy in fun and relaxing ways.
I am committed to nurturing Interfaith activities and building genuine bridges to peace between people of all faiths. One initiative I am involved with is a regular Interfaith gathering, a collaborative event called Bridges to Peace co-hosted by the Mundaring Baha’i community and St Cuthbert’s Anglican Parish. Representatives of different faiths come together to share a prayer or scripture from their faith on a particular theme, followed by discussion and a shared meal. This initiative has been sustained since 2017, and genuine bonds of friendship and understanding have deepened.
I have relentlessly pursued training and development in countless fields of endeavour, both in the sciences and in art, and widened my interests to encompass alternative modalities in healing. I draw on my creative, multi-passionate nature to help others and empower their own capacities through my soulful creative play workshops, sharing ways to use art and playfulness as a way of gaining healing and insights.
I paint with childlike delight and curiosity, while focusing on inner strength. My soulful healing paintings are embedded with joy, love, and grace.
I have a great interest in my family and ancestry, researching the sketchy information and stories with enthusiasm. I am especially inspired by my grandparents. My maternal grandmother, Checha Davies, was a trailblazer in the early 1920s and throughout her life, working for social justice and women's rights. She was posthumously inducted
I have a great interest in my family and ancestry, researching the sketchy information and stories with enthusiasm. I am especially inspired by my grandparents. My maternal grandmother, Checha Davies, was a trailblazer in the early 1920s and throughout her life, working for social justice and women's rights. She was posthumously inducted into the Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame in 2014. My paternal grandfather was a gentle giant who modeled the virtue of service.
My current passion is sharing stories from a book written by my sister, Padma Sundram Wong, about our parents, Shantha and Chellie Sundram, whose amazing lives were imbued with a spirit of service that came from their acceptance of the teachings of the Baha’i Faith in the early 1950s. The book delves into the lives of two ordinary people who rose to do great things.
“An inspiring and stirring read for anyone drawn to make a difference in the world.” - Linda Kavelin-Popov, co-founder of the Virtues Project
